Judson’s Aleshia Flowers Signs Full Scholarship to the University of South Florida

Aleshia Flowers, a 6’0” senior basketball player at Judson High School, signed a full scholarship agreement with the University of South Florida on November 13, 2008. Located in Tampa, Florida, South Florida is the ninth largest university in the nation and a member of the Big East Athletic Conference. The Bulls are coached by Head Coach Jose Fernandez.
Aleshia, the daughter of Crystal and Rodney Flowers, said “I am very excited about the opportunity to contribute to the success that South Florida already enjoys. They are in a very strong conference and I am thrilled to be able to play against teams such as UCONN, Syracuse, Rutgers, and Georgetown.”
Aleshia made 2nd team All-District as a junior and is expected to play a bigger role on the team her senior year. Aleshia has not reached her potential as a basketball player which gives her a tremendous upside. She has put a lot of time and effort into improving her game. She is very athletic, and has good moves around the basket.
