JEF Scholarship RecipientKevin Hans, Judson High School - Class of 2005 Favorite Teacher: Jacque Middleton (English 4) JEF: How were you able to use the money received from your JEF scholarship? Kevin: The scholarship money helped pay for tuition my first year in college. JEF: What advice do you have for high school graduates regarding the scholarship process? Kevin: There are a lot of different scholarships out there and like my Kindergarden teacher said, "It never hurts to try!" JEF: Do you think the time it takes to apply for scholarships is worth the effort? Why or why not? Kevin: It is definitely worth it! Any money helps pay for something while you are in college. JEF: What do you wish someone had told you before you started your freshman year? Kevin: Writing essays and papers!!! I had so many of these in college and it was one of my weakest areas, but I still pushed through and made it! |
