What We Do
Our curriculum specialists are committed to working collaboratively with campuses, teachers, parents and the community to ensure that all JISD students receive a quality education.
Our tasks include:
- coordinating and supervising the department programs for their grade levels,
- serving as resource persons for campuses in matters of curriculum, materials, instructional strategies and assessments
- working collaboratively with departments, department chairs or individual campuses and individual teachers to implement the district curriculum to effectively improve student achievement,
- disseminating assessments and data to campuses,
- meeting regularly with department chairs, departments or campuses to facilitate intra-district communication, and
- conferring and planning district staff development to keep their department current on curriculum issues and instructional strategies.
