Important Information Regarding OUT-OF-DISTRICT Courses

We are supporting much of our policies and procedures according to the Texas Education Agency in regards to professional development. Only those CPE activities from approved registered providers will be recognized for Texas certificate renewal purposes. All Continuing Professional Education (CPE) providers must be approved and registered by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).

Per their website, all questions regarding registered providers should be directed to Tabita Gutierrez at Tabita.Gutierrez@tea.state.tx.us.

If you have taken professional development courses with providers not approved by TEA, our office can grant you district credit. However, we cannot grant Texas SBEC CPE.

Did you know that we have over one hundred courses already listed in Eduphoria WORKSHOP? Did you know that you can search for classes by date or by topic? Log into the JISD portal and see what PD is available to you!

You will see all of the PD courses offered! Click on a title for a description and even a registration link.
