School Choice
The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), provides options for school choice. Parents of children enrolled at Title I campuses that are in stage 1 or higher, have the option to transfer to a school that is NOT in a “School Improvement Program (SIP)” stage within the Judson Independent School District.
The Judson Independent School District will pay for transportation to the new school. Students will be allowed to remain at the new campus, until the student reaches the highest grade at the campus. The district will continue to pay for transportation if the student’s home campus remains in a “School Improvement” stage.
The deadline for "School Choice" transfer is September 13, 2012.
