FREE breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under is available at the following JISD sites:

Coronado Village Elementary, 213 Amistad, Universal City
Breakfast is available from 8:00-8:30 am and lunch from 12:00-1:00 pm Monday-Friday.
Judson Elementary Schools Receive National Award
All 17 Judson Elementary Schools received the bronze Healthier US School Challenge award! The award acknowledges the hard work JISD has done in the areas of school meals, physical education, and nutrition education.

School Health Advisory Council Needs Parents!
The Judson ISD School Health Advisory Council needs parent members and input. The Council makes recommendations to improve the health of all students. Please call Candy Tanner at 210-945-1252 if interested.

The mission of the Judson Independent School District's Child Nutrition Department is to support the essential link between nutrition and education.
The goals of the Child Nutrition Department are to:
Ensure that every student is offered a nutritious and high quality meal
Provide all with excellent customer service by qualified staff adhering to high sanitation and safety standards
Utilize cost-effectiveness and industry best-practices
Follow the USDA/TDA Child Nutrition Program guidelines
Nutri-Cafe
Take a look at our Virtual Cafeteria - Nutri-Cafe! Nutri-Café is the educational, easy and fun way for your students to plan meals and ensure healthy eating habits at school. Get Nutritional Values of each individual item, add items to the tray to build a meal and get the Nutritional Value of the tray. Compare the values with the USDA standards. This is a great tool to teach children how to make healthy choices at school.
