Woodlake Hills MS Symphonic Band Earns Sweepstakes

The Woodlake Hills Wildcat Symphonic Band has earned the highest marks from the latest UIL Band Contest.  The competition held at Burbank High School evaluates school bands both on a performance level and in sight-reading...that's reading and playing music the students have not seen before.  This is the first time in 13 years that this group (non-varsity band) has earned top honors (Superior Ratings) in their classification in both performance and sight-reading.

These students attend weekly sectional rehearsals that start at 7 am (WOW!) Monday through Thursday since the beginning of the year, on top of their class rehearsals and individual practice at home.  What a payoff!!  We congratulate them on this achievement.
