What is a “Portal”?
A Portal is a website that gives you access to many different tools and resources in ONE PLACE under ONE LOGIN. MyJISD is a website similar to the Personalized Google, Yahoo or MSN Homepages that allows users to access all of the information they need.

Web Applications in the Portal
Many of the applications we use on a daily basis are now going to be accessed through MyJISD. Since the Portal can handle your authentication, you will not have to log onto each one individually! Just log onto MyJISD and select one of these applications from the Applications Menu:
- GradeSpeed
- AESOP
- A-Train
- ... and many more items as they come online

Using the Portal
Logging On to MyJISD
You’ll find the log on area on the District Homepage (image at right shows the login area). Visit http://www.judsonisd.org and find the MyJISD log on area in the top right corner below the quicklink menus.
The MyJISD Dashboard
Once logged onto MyJISD, you will have access to your “dashboard” - a homepage with your district email, calendar, and a number of other applications displayed as components in areas of their own. Other applications will be accessible through the menus at the top right hand area of the screen.
The Menus
- Account - view your personal information, manage your district usernames and passwords
- Applications - access the applications that we use most often - now they are all in one place
- Communities - find collaboration tools such as our Meeting Server (Adobe Connect), and calendars.
- Resources - use these informational items like a phone book and our new Tech Support Wiki.
- Home - Returns you to the ‘dashboard’
- Logout - Exits you from MyJISD; make sure to log out whenever you leave your computer
- Some users will have other menus as well.
IMPORTANT: The first time you log on ...
The first time you access MyJISD, you will encounter the Single Sign On Manager. This important tool gives the portal the information it needs to automatically log you onto various applications.

- Enter the requested log on information. See the Application Description
- Click Update Information when you are done
- After the page reloads, click Home
- NOTE: If you need to change the information in this area or come back later , you can find it again under “Account.”
