Hello! My name is Ashley Martinez and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year! I graduated from the University of Texas Pan-American in August 2010 with a Bachelor of Art in English. I have lived in San Antonio for 6 years and have enjoyed living in this beautiful, diverse city. Over the course of my career, I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. I love the seeing the learning growth in our little ones and have a true passion for early childhood education. I began my career implementing a full-day, collaborative Pre-Kindergarten program in the Rio Grande Valley. I trained with the Children's Learning Institute in Houston to implement their TSR (Texas School Ready) program. I also co-sponsor our Wortham Oaks LEGO club. I look forward to having a wonderful 2020-2021 school year!
