Ms. Christine Treanor

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!

Born in San Antonio, Texas, I graduated high school from Smithson Valley.  During high school I played varsity golf and earned a full golf scholarship to play for the University of Texas - Pan American.  I graduated in 2005 as a 4 year NCAA Division I athlete with a B.A. in Communications and a Minor in Public Relations.  After college I organized professional golf tournaments, junior golf tournaments and clinics, and worked in marketing/public relations for the Alamo City Golf Trail.  I began teaching AVID and English II in 2014 at Thomas Jefferson High School.  In 2016, I was hired as the Assistant Golf Coach and English IV teacher at Winston Churchill High School.  I am currently the Head Golf Coach, AP English Literature and Composition, and English IV teacher.

My son, Hunter, is in 10th grade and plays on the golf team.  My son and I enjoy traveling, golfing, spending time with family, watching sports, and going for walks with our dog, Bullet.  One of our traditions is to plan summer vacations near MLB ballparks.  We have seen games at 9 stadiums so far.  I have a second job as the San Antonio Area Director for the STPGA (Southern Texas Golf Association) organizing a safe and fun environment for kids age 6-12 learn the game of golf and play in tournaments.  I have 27 years of experience with golf ranging from playing, coaching, and running golf tournaments.

I am excited for the school year and to begin my 8th year in teaching!
