Mrs. Ena N. Rodriguez
A little about myself. I am a 1990 graduate of UT-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. I received a BS degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. I worked as a social worker for six years before I became a teacher. In 2000, after staying home for four years to be a full-time mom, I received my teaching and bilingual certification.
This will be my 22nd year in teaching, and I have loved every minute of it. I have taught music, kindergarten, third, fourth, and fifth grade. My experience with struggling students led to a passion for students with dyslexia. My search to understand and help this population of students led me to pursue and obtain a Masters of Education in Advanced Literacy from Concordia University in Austin, and a certificate as a Reading Specialist. I also completed a Dyslexia Therapist training program through the Scottish Rite Learning Center of South Texas and have earned the title of Dyslexia Therapist. I also recently became a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and am now a member of the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA).
I take great pride in serving and advocating for dyslexia students. I am proud to work for Judson ISD, and I believe that no district does more for students with dyslexia.
