Mr. Craig Rose
Staff have been preparing for students all summer in anticipation of a great year. The new class schedule will be an exciting change and afford students options and opportunities for success that did not exist before.
I am a second career educator now in my 10 year in education. My corporate experience in the engineering, finance, and environmental sectors has helped me to relate secondary education to meaningful careers.
I graduated from Lee High School and soon began work in manufacturing while attending San Antonio College. I then matriculated to UTSA where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. I continued in manufacturing until the plant closing and applied to graduate school at UTSA. I was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Management a couple of years later, and during that time took a Project Manager job in the Water Resources Department at the San Antonio Water System (SAWS). I immediately applied to the Graduate School in the College of Business at UTSA and was excepted. Two years later I was awarded a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Management of Technology.
After 5 years at the San Antonio Water System I took a consulting job with Operational Technologies an Environmental Engineering firm performing base closure work on Kelly AFB. When I left OpTech I took a Resident Engineer position in Del Rio, TX building a state-of-the-art water filtration plant with United Water Resources.
I then felt God's calling to serve in the classroom and enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program at Region 20. Following a short assignment at South San High School I was hired at Judson High School where I have been the last 7 years. Three years was accepted to the doctoral program at Texas A&M in College Station in Education studies. My research interests include; Building Resiliency in Response to Natural Disasters like Hurricane Harvey, and Unmanned Aerial Technology applications across state agencies.
