Degrees and Certifications:
EC-6th Grade Generalist 4-8th Reading ESL
Hello! Welcome TOROS! Welcome to the wonderful and exciting world of literacy!
A little about me:
This is my 18th year in education, and my 25th year Judson. I first began as a student at Miller's Point Elementary, later attending Kitty Hawk middle school and graduated from what was then Judson Sr. High school in 2000. I later graduated with distinctions from the University of San Antonio with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I maintain certifications in EC-4th grade as well as EC-6th grade, and 4th -8th in the area of reading/language arts. I am also ESL certified.
I have taught 2nd grade- 5th grade throughout the years, and have a special passion for reading! Of those years, the last 10 years have been here at our fabulous home of the Toros, Coronado Village Elementary.
Philosophy of Education:
I truly believe that all students can grow immensely with the correct guidance. My job is to encourage your children and get them excited about reading. With home and school connectedness, your child will prosper and grow unimaginably! Thank you for encouraging reading in your home. The more your child reads, the more they will grow as a reader. Your support is valued!
Who am I? :
I am married to my wonderful husband, Michael, and together we have 6, yes 6, children. Our oldest, Mason, is in the Army- stationed in Germany. We hope to visit him sometime this year! Next is Walker with his two children, which made me a Nana ! Yes, I am that old. Shyla, a former Toro, is a student at Steele High school. Next comes Korbin, Gunnar, and finally, little Miss. Brynn, the princess of the family.
