Mrs. Crystal Perez
Hello Park Village Elementary Bulldogs!
YOU are my favorite thing about teaching elementary music!
It is my privilege to help students discover the joy of music and to guide them into making music of their own!
While I can’t wait to meet each of you, allow me to tell you all a little bit about myself.
I LOVE music!
I remember having the opportunity to take piano lessons for the first time, and playing a new song with a sweet sound that I hadn’t made before. It was then that I discovered that there is something very special about making music. I joined the band in 6th grade, and I played clarinet all through middle school and high school. I had the opportunity to be a section leader and then head drum major for the New Braunfels High School marching band! It was awesome!! I then went on to study music at The University of Texas at Austin, and I participated in the Longhorn Marching Band! That was an experience where I made lots of great memories!
This will now be my 12th year of teaching in the elementary music room! While I am new to Park Village Elementary this year, I was making music with the Judson ISD students of Miller’s Point Elementary from 2012-2018, and these last two years I have been teaching music at The Christian School at Castle Hills. My students sing, move, play instruments, and learn to read music and improvise! I know you will love to come to Music class each week!! :)
