Hey there! The 2022-23 school year will be my third school year at Metzger. I have a deep passion for literature and writing. I believe my students are capable of achieving greatness. I am excited to be on a team that helps propel them to success. I am a veteran of the United States Navy. Towards the end of my active duty enlistment, I began my Associate's degree at American Military University. Following that, I matriculated into Our Lady of the Lake University where I graduated with Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in child studies in 2019. Go Saints! Currently, as of July 2022, I am enrolled at the University of Texas (Rio Grande Valley) pursuing a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in English. 

When I'm not teaching, preparing lessons or doing paperwork, you might find me traveling,  reading, binging Netflix, DisneyPlus or Hulu, writing my own original stories, or spending time with family and friends.
