Hey! I’m Ms. Kayla Bessellieu, also known around Wortham as Ms. B. I am one of the fabulous second grade teachers here at Wortham Oaks. This will be my second year teaching 2nd grade and I can’t wait! I love being part of the WOW family. It’s a great place to be. I am extremely excited to teach and inspire all your children! I hope to make learning fun for the students so that way they will want to continue to come back and learn. I think it’s pretty important for children to enjoy and develop a love for learning. That’s why being a teacher is so rewarding, because I get to help them gain that love. 

I am from San Antonio and graduated from Texas Tech University, Wreck em Tech. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I have one amazing son, Mason. He is 12 years old and a 6th grader! We also have a big fat, loving cat named Mr. Sprinkles! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my son and family,  as well as watching my son play basketball throughout the year! We love traveling to the beach with our family! We are also hoping to start a tradition which is to travel to one state each summer! 

I can’t wait to bond and grow as a class family with your kids! I also can't wait to see the growth each of them show throughout the year! I know they will reach their full potential and then some! We are going to have a terrific year!
