Hello!! My name is Ms. Aguilar and this is my 2nd year at Hopkins, but my 15th year in education. 

I am a graduate of Leilehua High School in Hawaii and a graduate of the University of North Texas. I received my Bachelors in Social Work and completed my Alternative Certification in Teaching. Currently I am enrolled at Grand Canyon University and working on my Master's in School Counseling.

I began teaching with San Antonio ISD (SAISD), where I taught PreK for ten years and 1st grade for three years. After thirteen years in SAISD, I accepted a position with JISD here at Hopkins.

I am originally from Waco, Texas, which is north of San Antonio, but moved around because my dad was in the US Army. I moved to San Antonio 25 years ago and I have been here ever since!  I love all the fun and exciting things that San Antonio has to offer.  I have one son and a dog (Forest).

I enjoy self-care days, spending family time with my son and collecting Christmas ornaments from different states and countries.  I LOVE to travel to new and exciting places, especially around the US and in Europe!  But my favorite place is definitely the beach…..it is so much fun! 

This is going to be a wonderful year full of lots of fun and excitement and I can't wait!:)
