Hey yall! I'm Mrs. Hixon and I will be your scholar's 3rd-grade Math and Science teacher. I am married and have an 18-year-old bonus son, a 5-year-old daughter, and a 7-year-old mini-schnauzer named Queen Paris who is a big part of my family. I started my collegiate education at THE Prairie View A & M University but received my bachelor's degree from Post University in Human Services with a concentration in Psychology. I then enrolled in TeachWorthy's alternate certification program to get certified to teach EC-6. This is my second year teaching here at Escondido and am very excited to start this new school year and help my students grow! It is very important to me to create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. As a teacher, I hope to foster life-long learning and support you in any way that I can. #GoLions
