I use "Whole Brain Teaching" techniques for classroom mangement which has been extremely successful for me in the past.

    Rule #1 Follow directions quickely

Rule #2 Raise your hand for permission to speak

Rule #3 Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat

    Rule #4 Make smart choices

Rule #5 Keep your dear learning community Happy!

There are hand motions that go with each of the classroom rules and we review them often. https://wholebrainteaching.com/intermediate/five-classroom-rules/
