Meet Mrs. Thurston

         I am so excited to begin my fifteenth year here at Olympia Elementary.  I have experience teaching first, second and third grade. I am married to Keith and we have two wonderful daughters, Macy and Shay.  Both of my daughters were Unicorns here at Olympia K-5th . Both had amazing experiences here and a great start in their educational journeys.   I graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor's degree in Education. It was a dream of mine to be a teacher and am blessed to be living out my dream.

          As a family, we enjoy traveling, camping and fishing at state and national parks, and love just spending quality time together.  

          I am excited to meet your family and be a part of your child’s educational journey.  I treat all the students that come through my classroom with equality, compassion, love, and respect.  I believe every student can achieve their dream and we work together this year to ensure they are one step closer to making their dream a reality.
