• Theatre Arts Rules and Policies 

    1. Participation is expected every day- grades are given based on participation. If a student chooses to sit out an activity they will recieve 0% for their grade.
    2. Participation grades may not be made up without express permission from teacher.
    3. Daily warm ups count as particiption grades.
    4. Profanity/ physical vulgarity will not be tolerated and may result in a referral.
    5. Vandalism of school/ student property will not be tolerated and will result in a referral.
    6. Misuse of props and supplies will not be tolerated and may result in point deduction from grade as well as a referral depending on the severity of the situation.
    7. Disrespect of teacher and students will not be tolerated and may result in point deduction from grade as well as a referral depending on the severity of the situation. This includes talking, moving, working on other tasks during student performances.
    8. Do not enter or leave class during student performance. 
    9. All students must ask to leave the classroom and must use hallpass.
    10. Volunteer for all assignments. Teacher takes volunteering into consideration when grading. 
    11. No cell phone use unless expressly approved by teacher for project based learning.
    12. Students are responsible to follow all district/ school rules and regulations laid out in the JISD student handbook.
