Hi there! I am Whitney Thornton, Academic Trainer at KHMS!
As an Academic Trainer - like an instructional coach - I am in classrooms a lot, mainly to observe and provide feedback for teachers. So students will see me in class, as well as on lunch and outside duty. This year, I am specifically dealing with Reading/English Language Arts (ELAR) and Social Studies.
Education:
I have been in education for almost twenty years, and have taught grade levels 3-12 in various schools and districts. I've been in Judson ISD for about ten years, and I worked as an 7th grade Reading/ Language Arts teacher at Kitty Hawk for the past four years. This will be my second year as an Academic Trainer at KHMS.
