Mr. Gary Livingston
Hello! My name is Gary Livingston and this is my 17th year in education and 6th in Judson ISD. I previously taught in NEISD for 11 years. I have taught World History, Texas History, U.S. History, and a 1 year stint teaching technology in my career.
A little bit more about me—I am married with two beautiful daughters. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in History. In 2009 I earned my Master’s degree from Texas A&M-Kingsville in Instructional Technology. I am originally from Chicago and am a diehard fan of the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls. I also love Liverpool football club the 2020 English Premier League Champions!
When not teaching I love to hang out with friends and family, read, watch sports, play guitar, and travel. In 2011 I started a student travel program where I take students around the U.S. and the world. To date I have done 18 trips to places such as France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Peru, England, Scotland, Portugal, Costa Rica, Ireland, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Ecuador.
I proudly brought the program to JSTEM and JMS, and took students from Judson to Washington D.C./Philadelphia in March 2022, to Central Europe in July 2022, to Ecuador in June 2023, and I just returned from a Greece trip in July 2023! I have future trips planned to New York/Boston during Spring Break in March 2024, and then to Japan in July 2024! I'm hoping to recruit students this year for a student trip in Summer 2025 to France and Germany!
