Welcome to my class at Judson Middle School. I look forward to getting to know you as the year goes on.

I am Coach Lopez, Girls Athletic Coordinator at Judson Middle School. I'm originally from El Paso, TX, although I've been here for over fifteen years now.

Once I graduated from high school, I moved to San Antonio to play basketball for the University of the Incarnate Word. My passion for education and basketball continued well on after I graduated from UIW with a BA of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in education. Because of this and because of the amazing coaches and educators I had growing up, I became an educator. My love of coaching and desire for student excellence is embedded in all that I do at Judson Middle School. The 2022-2023 school year begins my 15th year of teaching/coaching.

As the Girls’ Athletic Coordinator, I strive to get the most effort and potential out of students in my PE classes and the athletic program. As a Judson Jaguar leader, I expect hard work, dedication and perseverance, but I guide with compassion, charisma, and commitment. My coaching philosophy stems from T.F. Hodge, a bestselling author and coach, and as I work with athletes to achieve their aligned goals, I often quote Hodge: “The sky is not the limit, we are!”
