Hello, my name is Dr. Carrillo, I am looking forward to working with you for the 2022-2023 school year. 

A little bit about me:  This is my fifth year teaching Career and Technology - specifically Health Sciences at Judson High School.  I am currently the Director and Instructor of the Medical Assistant Practicum.  I am also one of two sponsors for the National Technical Honor Society and Skills USA Healthcare. I am a retired Army veteran who graduated from High School on Guam where I lived for 15 years.  The first degree I obtained was in Psychology, prior to joining the Army, where I obtained my Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license through the U.S. Army's LVN program. After completing LVN school, I went on to complete my Associates in Nursing where I obtained my Registered Nursing license at the Baptist School of Health Professionals in San Antonio.  I went on to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain University. To round out my collegiate career, I completed my Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University in December 2021.  I have been a nurse for over a decade, with industry experience in areas including medical/surgical nursing with both adult and pediatric patients, Pediatric home health, long-term care, nursing education, and state government, working with policies and legislation related to long-term care and Medicaid. Teaching is a passion of mine and I am extremely excited to be working with my students in the Medical Assistant (MA) Practicum and as a sponsor for the National Technical Honor Society and Skills USA Healthcare.
