Travel Tracker Trips - Field Trip Program
Transportation has changed the Field Trip Program to Travel Tracker Trips by App-Garden. The program is web-based, making it easier for administrators to access.
Virtual field trips are okay as an introductory tool to get the students ready for a real hands-on field trip. Most students would agree that a physical field trip gives them the feeling of satisfaction during their educational experience. We know that students are visual learners and a field trip lets them use their senses in touching, smelling, and listening to what they're learning about, which helps them build on classroom instruction, gain a better understanding of topics, build cultural understanding and tolerance, and expose them to worlds outside their own.
The Purpose of Field Trips
The purpose of a field trip is usually observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities, such as the zoo, museum, nature trails, theaters, camping, historical sites, etc.. with teachers and their classmates. Field Trips provide hands-on experience for the students.
