Mrs. Jeska Harris

The 2022-2023 school year marks 26 years in education for Mrs. Harris.  Mrs. Harris has been the School Counselor at Hopkins Elementary since 2003.  Prior to that, she taught Science at Woodlake Hills Middle School and Harlandale Middle School.  Judson ISD is well known to Mrs. Harris, as she attended Judson schools growing up, including Coronado Village Elementary, Kitty Hawk Junior High, and graduated from Judson High School.  Mrs. Harris received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

  • The primary responsibility of a school counselor is to ensure resources of the guidance program are directed to assisting students with their educational, social, personal and career development.  The school counselor is primarily directed to fulfilling the roles of guidance counseling, consultation, coordinator, assessment and professionalism through the four program components which are:  Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.
