Meet Our Counselor
Degrees and Certifications:
BSE Howard Payne University MA UTSA
I am very excited to be the Counselor at Masters Elementary and work with all students, parents, and staff. I am passionate about helping students become the best that they can be in school, home, and in the community.
I graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Education and began my teaching career with middle school students for nine years. In 2004, I graduated from UTSA with a Master of Arts in Counseling. I have been the counselor at Masters since 2009 and have seen students grow from toddlers to graduating high school. It has been wonderful to be a part of the Masters family!
As a counselor, I visit your child’s classroom to teach social emotional learning (SEL) skills and implement a school-wide guidance program. I also provide short-term individual and small group counseling as needed. I work with parents and organize Conversation with the Counselor (Parent Education Meetings). Masters has a group of wonderful students called the Maverick S2S (Student to Student) Leaders Program to support our new students and our Military-connected families. Maverick S2S Leaders walk our younger students and new students to class in the morning.
I am also the campus-based military contact to support our military students. Masters Elementary received the Purple Star Designation for the 2022-2024 school years and supports our Military students and family. For resources please contact me or refer to our Judson ISD Military Family webpage: https://www.judsonisd.org/domain/2183
I look forward to working with you and your children. Please feel free to call me to discuss any concerns you may have about your child(ren). In the event I am not available, please leave a message with a convenient time for me to return your call.
