Hello Unicorn Family!

I am currently in my 8th year of teaching, a majority here at the great Fine Arts Academy of Olympia. I am a proud Army Veteran, which explains my late entrance into the educational field, but not into teaching and leading.

I was recently hired as the Assistant Principal in January and have been in full force since then. I love visiting classes, participating in Restorative Circles, and working with students on a daily basis. My primary responsibilities include attendance, campus safety, Restorative Discipline, ESL, testing, and improving daily operations. I am also the Title IX campus coordinator.

My husband is a retired Army Veteran and spends his retirement supporting middle school basketball players enhancing their abilities. My oldest daughter attends Texas State and is working on being a psychologist specializing in supporting children with special needs. My youngest daughter is a high school junior and is busy exploring different extracurriculars. My dogs are my favorite, but don't tell the others.

I love learning, chocolate, naps, and laughing. My goal is to help enhance the Fine Arts Academy of Olympia so that all students feel included, loved, and leave knowing more than they came in order to be productive citizens in life.
