Mrs. Luz Elena Ramirez

My name is Luz Elena Ramirez and I have worked in education for over 30 years.  My teaching career started in Southern California as a Bilingual teacher and a Reading Specialist.  My family moved to San Antonio in 1997 and I started working in Judson ISD in 1999 at Candlewood Elementary as a Reading Recovery Teacher.  I was part of the team that opened the doors of a new school to 300 students at Mary Lou Hartman. The following year, I took a position at the district office as a Bilingual Specialist; then I was promoted to the Coordinator of the Bilingual and English as a Second Language program.

I came to work at Miller's Point on October 21, 2020 as the Academic Coordinator.  It is a pleasure for me to work with a group of educators that strive to do the best for ALL of our students here at Miller's Point. Parents thank you for trusting us with your children. We all want the best for the students of this community.  I am the proud parent of two children who are now adults and have reached their highest potential. Both of them are doctors and I believe that your children can also reach their potential.
