Dr. Joel Nkemakolam


Welcome to the 2019/2020 school year. My name is Dr. Joel C. Nkemakolam, a collaborative English ll teacher at Judson High School. I hold a doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in educational leadership from University of Phoenix, a master degree in education from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), another master degree in business administration (MBA) and currently pursuing a specialist degree (with a master) in school psychology from the A & M University Central Texas. I am is certified by the Texas State Board of Education to teach English and special education.  I attended seven universities across two continents and has been with higher  education for the past 11 years (2008-2019), prior to that time, I taught in middle school for six years and high school for 9 years.

I do supervise doctoral students from Grand Canyon University and Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia in their dissertations. I am also the founder and President of “New Dimensions Excellence Initiative (NDEI) an education consulting firm based in San Antonio, Texas. In 2015 and 2016, NDEI Group conducted several international conferences in education and business, especially how to grow small businesses in conjunction with University of Phoenix San Antonio Campus.

I am a poet and writer and has authored several publications, but particularly my books, “The Edifice of My Mind-A Collection of Thoughts” and “The Anatomy of the Edifice of My Mind-An Explanation of Thoughts” have been accepted to be used as literature books in overseas countries.

I am currently working on two books, “Vade Mecum: 187 Words in 187 School Days” and the last part of the Edifice of My Mind Series, titled, “In Action the Edifice of My Mind-The Art of Doing.” In October 2015, I was invited to speak as a keynote speaker at an international conference overseas.
