• Dear Paschall Elementary Families,

The Tiger Pride Rules are designed to ensure that learning and movement time in Physical Education class is maximized.  In accordance with the Paschall Elementary Handbook and the JISD student code of conduct, appropriate athletic or tennis shoes must be worn to PE class and during outside play.  If a student wears boots, flats, dress shoes, or sandals to PE, they must sit out which will cause a reduction in their PE grade.  If any of the above rules are broken, the student will sit out for the remainder of the activity and the student will receive a reduction in their PE grade.  Documentation or “behavior slip/folder mark” will be made if any such infraction occurs.  0 (Zero) behavior marks = E, 1-2 behavior marks = S, 3-5 behavior marks = N, and 6 or more behavior marks = U.  An office referral = 2 behavior marks.

We will be taking all precautions as possible to reduce the spread of germs during PE.  Students will be sanitizing their hands as they come in and again when they leave PE.  We will be sanitizing the equipment in between classes as well.

If your child is unable to participate in PE due to an injury, they must have a written note excusing them.  A parent note is only good for three (3) consecutive days.  After that, you must have a doctor’s note that excuses them.  If your child has asthma, please make sure they have an up-to-date inhaler in the clinic with the nurse.
