College Preparatory Math & English Language Arts/Reading Courses

The College Preparatory (CP) Math & English Language Arts/Reading (ELAR) courses are designed for students at the 12th grade level who have not met college readiness standards.
These courses prepare students for entry-level college coursework.
- CP Math Course: Eligible 12th grade students must have credit for Algebra I, Geometry and achieved at least the Approaches Grade Level standard on Algebra I End-of-Course.
- CP ELAR Course: Eligible 12th grade students must have credit for English I, II, III and achieved at least the Approaches Grade Level standard on English I and English II End-of-Course.
A student must earn a 75 or above in the course to demonstrate college readiness and be eligible to enroll in an entry-level college math course and/or an entry-level college English composition course at Alamo Colleges & UTSA.
