If so, Cross Country is the sport for you. We are always looking to add more runners to our vastly growing team. If you are interested or want more information on joining this dynamic sport please ask any cross country runner or speak with one of the coaches listed at the bottom.
Philosophy and Goals
The philosophical foundation of the program lies in the understanding that each person is an important and unique individual who have the common needs of love and respect. We as the coaches hope to foster an environment of love and respect for self, authority, teammates and the sport. The overall approach will be with positive enthusiasm.
There are four specific objectives of the Veterans Memorial Cross Country program:
- Develop young people of strong moral character.
- Develop a sense of individual responsibility and team/program accountability. (Love for team, sport, teammates, sense of tradition, self-motivation, and discipline)
- Joy of the journey.
- To win by developing year-round runners.
