Current Texas Library Association Reading Lists

Books on the 2x2 reading list are recommended for readers age 2 through 2nd grade to encourage recreational reading.

Texas Bluebonnet books are recommended for readers in 3rd - 6th grade to encourage recreational reading. Students who read five of the titles from the current list will be eligible to vote and help decide which book will receive the Texas Bluebonnet Award for the year.

The Tejas Star reading list is intended for readers ages 5-12 and contains bilingual books for recreational reading.

The Little Maverick reading list is intended to encourage readers in Kindergarten through 5th grade to explore recently published graphic novels as part of their recreational reading.
