Ms. Flor Valdez-Martinez
Welcome!
Thank you for entrusting me with the awesome privilege of being your child's teacher. I respect and appreciate any apprehension or uneasiness you may have as your child gets ready to start a brand new year.
Please know that I don't take my teaching responsibilities lightly and will work tirelessly to help your child achieve success. I believe that, given the right conditions, every child can excel. With your help and support, we can provide an optimal learning experience for your child this year.
Now, a little bit about me-- I was born and raised in San Antonio. I graduated from Texas State University in 2001 with a bachelor of science in interdisciplinary studies. I worked for Northside ISD for 12 years and will be starting my 9th year with Judson ISD. I am working on my master of science in curriculum and Instruction in special education at Texas A&M International.
Some of my favorite things are gardening, morning coffee, watching the sun rise and set, and playing with my pups.
I look forward to collaborating with you as we pave the way to the best school year ever!
With kindness and gratitude,
Flor Valdez-Martinez
"I TREAT ALL CHILDREN THE SAME. I DON'T CONSIDER THEIR DISABILITY AN EXCUSE, BUT, RATHER, A POINT OF MOTIVATION...
WHEN YOU ENTER MY CLASSROOM, YOU NO LONGER SEE CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, BUT A TEACHER
WHO MEETS THE NEEDS OF SPECIAL CHILDREN."
