PSAT/NMSQT® Exam Overview
-
The PSAT/NMSQT® and the PSAT 8/9TM exams are offered by Judson ISD free of charge each fall to 8th, 10th, and 11th grade students. These exams help gauge how ready a student is for college. The exams also allow students to create a personalized study plan for the SAT® exam through Khan Academy. Moreover, a high score on the PSAT/NMSQT® exam during a student's junior year may qualify that student for the National Merit Scholarship, one of the most prestigious academic awards a high school student can receive.
Note: Homeschool students can also take the PSAT/NMSQT® exam through Judson ISD (TEC Sec. 29.916). Please contact the Director of Advanced Academics (dholmes@judsonisd.org) to arrange for testing.
