JISD Counseling Department provides monthly guidance lessons and teachers provide monthly character education lessons.
- Elementary campuses utilize Second Step; an online digital curriculum.
- Secondary campuses utilize 7 Mindsets an online curriculum.
- Elementary and secondary campuses use Mindful Practices Class Catalyst, which is an online social emotional learning platform that allows students to complete a check-in and students are provided activities that increase self-awareness and self-regulation.
