Secondary School Instructional Options

  • We have identified three instructional models as options for our high schools. Below is a description of each model. After you have reviewed each description, please choose the model you would feel most comfortable with for your student. Keep in mind, that this choice does not have to be permanent. As conditions evolve under COVID-19, your choice might change. Judson ISD will engage in on-going conversations with our community.

    There are separate options for Judson Early College Academy (JECA) and Judson Learning Academy (JLA).

    Staggered Schedules / Blended Learning (Option 1)

    • Students will be divided in Group A and Group B.
    • All students, GROUP A and B, will attend class remotely 3 days of the week.
    • Group A
      • Students will attend school in person (face-to-face) on Mondays and Tuesday.
      • Students will attend class with their peers remotely on Wednesday thru Friday.
    • GROUP B
      • Students will attend school in person (face-to-face) on Thursdays and Fridays.
      • Students will attend class with their peers remotely on Monday thru Wednesday.
    • The campus will be sanitized throughout the day in addition to scheduled days for deep cleaning.

    Face to Face Learning (Option 2)

    • Students will attend school in person Monday - Friday on campus.
    • The campus will be sanitized throughout the day in addition to scheduled days for deep cleaning.

    Remote Learning (Option 3)

    • Students will attend school Monday - Friday and receive instruction virtually through live interactions with a teacher and lessons with guided support.
    • Synchronous – JISD teacher led
    • Asynchronous – Pre–recorded videos and assignments
