All students planning on going to college will need to fill out a financial aid application. Most students will be filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This application opens October 1st of every school year, and students will need to complete it every year they are in school.
For seniors 2021 that will be entering college in the Fall 2021 semester, our students will need to fill out the 2021-2022 FAFSA.
Check out the video and resources below! They do a great job explaining how to complete your FAFSA. I'm also available to help if you still need it!

What is the TASFA?
The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) allows students that are non-citizen Texas residents to apply for state financial aid. Students that do not posess a social security number, may still qualify for state financial aid.
What qualifies as a Texas Resident?
- Graduated from a Texas high school or received a GED certificate in Texas
- Lived in Texas for three years before graduating from high school or receiving GED certificate
- Lived or will have lived in Texas for 12 months prior to the census date of the semester in which they enroll in college
- Has applied or plans to apply to become a permanent resident at the earliest opportunity
