Gifted & Talented Handbook
-
Judson ISD is committed to meeting the educational needs of all our students. This handbook is an effort to delineate how we meet the educational needs of one our student populations, gifted and talented (G/T) students. These services are guided by two major sources, the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students and board policy.
In order to ensure these students’ academic needs are met, the State Plan has created standards of service in the following categories:
- Fidelity of services
- Student assessment
- Service design
- Curriculum and instruction
- Professional learning
- Family/community involvement
In an effort to create clarity, our handbook is centered on these six categories. The first section of the book is dedicated to the goals of our G/T services. The rest of the sections outline how we are meeting the needs of our students in the different categories explained in the State Plan. It is our hope that this handbook will provide clarity and focus in the service of our G/T students. Please click on the document below or HERE to view the handbook.
