I hope your family had a fun and restful summer! I am looking forward to a great year with Wortham Oaks Elementary and am here to support the social, emotional, and educational needs of your child. I have been a school counselor for 20 years and have enjoyed working as an elementary school counselor for the last 15 years.
I visit your child’s classroom bi-monthly to teach social emotional learning (SEL) skills and implement a school-wide guidance program. I also provide short-term individual and small group counseling as needed. I look forward to meeting you during the first weeks of school. Please feel free to call me at 210-945-5750. In the event I am not available, please leave a message with a convenient time for me to return your call.

Kimochies
Kimochies are another tool our school counselor, Ms. Hume uses in her classroom guidance lessons. There are free family activities available to use with children of different developmental stages. Parents can access the site and follow the family activity that can be done weekly or daily as needed. The best part is our elementary students are familiar with the Kimochies so they can help their parents.
