Mrs. Venessa Olvera

Welcome! I’m so happy to be here at Olympia Elementary School!

I have been an employee of Judson ISD since 2008. I came from the small town of Lozano, near San Benito, Texas.  I moved to San Antonio in 1998. I began attending San Antonio College while working at a NEISD school as a Special Education paraprofessional. After receiving my associate degree, I began attending the University of San Antonio. While working on my bachelor’s degree, I worked at a day care center. I received my degree in 2005, and I went straight to work as a teacher at a charter school.

In 2008, I began teaching at Hartman Elementary School, within Judson ISD. I was there for 13 years before coming to Olympia. I taught 1st, 2nd, and then in 2018 I became a certified Special Education Teacher. In 2021, I received an opportunity to work here at Olympia, my daughter’s home campus, as a Special Education Teacher. Being a Special Education Teacher at Olympia is an amazing thing. I love working with students at all levels and watching them become stronger in reading and math.
