Welcome to Wortham Oaks Elementary, home of the Wildcats! I am part of the support team at Wortham Oaks, and our goal is to bridge gaps and ensure student success. As a Special Education Resource teacher for grades 4-6, I look forward to working with your child to develop mastery of their IEP goals.
I am a graduate of Judson ISD and this is my home, Go Rockets! I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. I am excited about starting my 28th year in education, having taught in Seguin ISD and East Central ISD before returning home to Judson in 2004. Prior to the opening of Wortham Oaks, I taught at Crestview ES, a National Blue Ribbon School. In my career, I have taught first through sixth grades, RtI, and currently SPED. I have been blessed to work with some amazing staff and leadership over the years. I was honored and humbled to be selected as the Distinguished Educator twice, at Crestview in 2008-2009 and Wortham Oaks in 2019-2020. Other campus commitments include my role as 5th grade Science Camp Coordinator, co-sponsor of our FLL Robotics Team, and Webmaster/Social Media Manager.
I am a proud mom to three wonderful children and three adorable grands. My husband and I enjoy taking roadtrips and spending time with the kids and grandchildren. Our only pet at the moment is a dog, a rescue named Slider.
Wortham Oaks ES is a family. I look forward to seeing everyone again, as well as meeting our new members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me so that we can develop a solution together. Dream Big, Aim High, and Make a Difference! Go Wildcats!
