My name is Maria S. Romero, and I am proud to be the Third Grade Dual Language teacher at Wortham Oaks Elementary. I received a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and my master’s degree in Education from the University of New Mexico. I am certified to teach elementary and bilingual education. This will be my second year at Wortham Oaks Elementary.

I have a real passion for working with young learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.

Personally, I enjoy reading, cooking, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family.
