Mr. Hurt began his career in education as a music teacher, marching drum line instructor and private music instructor. As a father, Cub Scout leader, and educator, Mr. Hurt realized he had a calling to teach special education at the elementary school level and has devoted his professional life towards helping students achieve their potential. While academic progress is a priority, the virtues of self-discipline, integrity and grit are pillars of his teaching philosophy.
