Miss Jacqueline Smith
Hey there Rocket Family!
My name is Jacqueline Smith and I am proud to be your new social worker here at Judson High School. I’m looking forward to this new opportunity, the new school year, and most of all getting to know all of you.
This will be my 5th year in education, as I previously worked at Harlandale Independent School District before coming to Judson ISD. I have spent my professional career serving a multitude of populations, with experience in the medical field, the adult and juvenile justice system, collegiate social work services, and several years working with the child and family welfare system. I am also a licensed mental health therapist in private practice servicing clients in the State of Texas & Florida via telehealth.
A native of San Antonio, I am a graduate of South San Antonio High School-West Campus. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Weber State University in Ogden, UT and completed my graduate studies in Clinical Social Work at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
My vision is that every student will reach their highest potential and my goal is to assist students and families by navigating barriers that may interfere with a student’s social, emotional, and academic growth. Previous years have been challenging in some capacity for many of us, so let’s go from “surviving to thriving” and make this the best year yet!
If you need any assistance or have any concerns, please feel free to contact me!
