Mrs. Schweizerhof

In 2006, I graduated with a Master of Education Degree from Wayland Baptist University and also received the Jordan Ford Outstanding Graduate of Master of Education Award.  This is my 14th year as an educator and I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade as a classroom teacher.  Three years ago, I decided to embark on a new challenge and became the Gifted & Talented Teacher to service students from Kindergarten-5th grade.
I truly enjoy working with students in ALL grade levels!  This has led me to pursue a career in Librarianship, and I recently earned my School Librarian Certification from Texas A&M University.
Throughout my years as an educator, I have been the recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award at James L. Masters Elementary in 2012.  In 2013, I received the KENS5 ExCEL Award for Excellence in Education, and in the same year, was the recipient of the Trinity Award as the Distinguished Educator for the Judson Independent School District.  Up until 2018, I taught at Crestview Elementary, which was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.  And in 2018-2019, I received the Distinguished Educator Award at Wortham Oaks Elementary.
I currently serve as the Librarian and Gifted & Talented Teacher and have the privilege to work with students of all ages!  This is my second year in this dual position and I'm excited to serve our school community!
With my love for reading and educating our youth, I strive to partner with our school faculty and parents to instill and nurture a passion for reading and learning in all of our students and to make a positive impact on their lives.
