The Office of the Superintendent serves to provide leadership and direction to the district as a whole. Our superintendent serves as an ex-officio member of the school board and acts as a liaison between it and the district administration.
Jeanette Ball, Ph.D.
Dr. Jeanette Ball has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in her many years as an educator in public schools. She has served as a teacher, principal, district administrator and superintendent before officially joining the Judson ISD family in 2018 as the first female superintendent of the district. Dr. Ball is a servant leader who builds strong relationships with students, staff and the community. She prioritizes a commitment to academic excellence while also fostering the natural talents of students to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Dr. Ball believes that success in academics is tied to developing all aspects of a student’s mind. She is a strong advocate for the Fine Arts and the impact it makes in student academic performance and achievement. Another passion of hers is recognizing and celebrating the diversity each child brings. She strongly supports Judson ISD’s Dual Language program as she sees the doors that can be opened to students who learn to develop and speak more than one language. Dr. Ball sees opportunity in every circumstance and clears the path for educators to provide learning experiences that will elevate our students’ lives.
Dr. Ball was named the 2021 Superintendent of the Year for Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20). She was chosen for her strong leadership skills, dedication to improving educational quality in her district, and commitment to public involvement in education. She represented ESC-20 at the state level competition at the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards (TASA/TASB) Conference as one of the top five state finalists.
Aside from her profession, Dr. Ball and her husband Joe have numerous nieces and nephews with whom they enjoy spending a lot of time.
