Miss Montoya
I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you Face to Face and having a fantastic 2022-2023 school year at Karen Wagner High School.
A little about myself. I am a 2002 graduate of Aransas Pass High School and a 2007 graduate of St. Mary’s University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Criminal Justice. I started my career in Law Enforcement by being a Juvenile Probation Officer in Cameron County for three years.
I am currently starting my twelfth year in education. I began my teaching career at Brownsville ISD from 2011-2015. I moved with my family to San Antonio and started teaching at Karen Wagner High School in August of 2015. The courses that I have taught in Criminal Justice include: Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security; Law Enforcement I; Law Enforcement II; Court Systems & Practices; Correctional Services and Practicum in Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security. I have served my students in different capacities, such as being the Law Enforcement Explores Program sponsor, the Mock Trial sponsor and as a Senior class sponsor.
As the CTE Department Chair, I look forward to serving the staff and students at Karen Wagner High School. I am excited about helping each of my students on their Career Pathway in Law Enforcement.
